Psychiatric Evaluation of preschoolers, children and adults at this clinic are based upon practice guidelines as set by American Psychiatric Association and AACAP(American Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry).
- The evaluation sets the stage or ongoing care by establishing treatment goals and gathering relevant data with a focus of on current mental concerns in context of past history’s and establishing a plan for systematic follow-up.
- Treatment plan is based upon a bio-psycho-social model for behavioral illnesses. Biological aspect includes assessing the need for psychotropic medication interaction. Psychosocial aspect refers to utilizing psychotherapy (Counseling) to address triggers at: home, college, work, relationships etc.
- Great emphasis is placed upon following the standard care, keeping up to date with latest research and treatment modalities.
NOTE: We do not do psychiatric evaluation for Disability and forensic/child custody evaluations.
